''My Fitter hasn't heard of you'' - and why that's absolutely fine!

If you've fallen in love with our panels but your plumber or bathroom fitter has never come across Showerscape before, you're in the right place. It's one of the most common things we hear from new customers - and it's understandable. So we wanted to put it all in one place, partly for you, and partly for your fitter.

We're not new - we've just been quietly getting on with it

Showerscape has been designing, printing and supplying made-to-measure waterproof wall panels for over ten years. In that time we've become an accredited member of CIUK (Commercial Interiors UK), been featured in Good Homes, Grand Designs, House & Garden and much more. We even won Great British Entrepreneur for Wales in 2025! We’ve built a loyal customer base across residential bathrooms, holiday lets, narrowboats and commercial spaces.

We're a small, family-run business rather than a national chain - which means you won't see us on every trade counter shelf. But it also means every panel is made to order, to your exact measurements, by people who actually care about getting it right.

So why haven't more fitters used us?

Almost always, it comes down to one of these:

  • Existing trade relationships. Many fitters have long-standing deals or trade discounts with bigger, more established suppliers, so they naturally reach for what they already know and stock.

  • Unfamiliarity, not doubt. Trying a new material in someone else's bathroom is a big ask for any tradesperson - it's understandable for a fitter to want to stick with something they've fitted a hundred times before.

  • They simply haven't come across our material yet. And once they do, they're usually pleasantly surprised.

What makes our panels different (and easier to fit)

Our panels are made from a 3mm aluminium composite - noticeably slimmer and lighter than a lot of alternative wall panelling on the market. That thinness isn't a compromise; it's actually part of why they're straightforward to work with:

  • No grouting, ever - fewer joints, less mess, less time on site

  • Fully waterproof - ideal for bathrooms, wet rooms and shower enclosures

  • Made-to-measure - cut precisely to your space, minimising on-site cutting, saving time

  • 20-year guarantee - built to last

In fact, the same type of material we've championed for over a decade is now being adopted by some of the bigger names in the market too - which tells you everything about how well it performs, even if the Showerscape brand name isn't one you are familiar with.

If your fitter has questions, we're happy to help

We're a supply-only business, which means we don't have installation teams or a list of recommended fitters to hand - our customers use their own trusted plumbers and bathroom fitters, and that's exactly how they like it. But it does mean the first time a fitter works with our panels, we want to make that as easy as possible for them.

So if your fitter has questions before they start - about handling, fixing, cutting, or anything else - they're very welcome to get in touch with us directly. We're always happy to talk it through or send them our fitting guide, we’re a small team and we are always on the end of the phone.

The bottom line

New-to-you doesn't mean new. We've been perfecting this material and this process for over ten years, and we'd love the chance to prove it - to you, and to your fitter too.

Got a fitter who's hesitant to try something new? Feel free to forward this post on, or point them to our contact page - we're happy to chat directly.
